Pros

Not one single redeeming quality

Cons

They will lie to you, your pay will never be what it is supposed to be and then they will offer to give you some of what you were owed but charge you a fee for doing it, terrible communication, terrible management. They put together this "holiday bonus" package, but then during the holiday period would arbitrarily say you had a 'safety review', etc, make you unavailable until that review was complete and find many other ways to make you ineligible for that bonus. This happened to a minimum of 11 drivers. And that's just the ones I personally know. They will find any and every way to strip your pay. All while claiming to be a christian company. Somebody should call jesus and tell him what they're doing behind his rep. Worst, shadiest, most backstabbing company I've ever worked for. Best part-if you try to get help with pay issues, they will make your life hell. They are thieves, liars and con artists. Only company I've ever worked for that was so shady that they feel the need to employ round the clock armed security at their main terminal. It's because they know what they are doing to drivers-using them and stealing from them, then discarding them like garbage. Dont let then fool you. They are the absolute farthest thing from christian that you will find. If there was a company called satan's disciples trucking, I'd wager that they are 100x more christian then these liars. Oh, one more thing. They will have you illegally manage your time so as to have you work while off duty and preserve your clock for driving, after having worked without pay, off duty for 8-10 hours daily. When I found out it was illegal and brought it to their attention, I was discarded and they claim they weren't aware of something that every single driver on every dedicated account was told to do every day over years. If that's not christian, idk what is. I hope that some day this all comes out and they are exposed nationwide for all of their shady and illegal practices. I'm just one of many pursuing a lawsuit against them.

Pros

The people who are on the same level as you will be the most likely reason you stay at Covenant Transport.

Cons

They have a vague and unclear process of hiring. Sure the temp-to-hire process is not uncommon but everything is done verbally. There are a lot of verbal commitments or "promises" but it is a company of "hopes". Where the term "hope" gets thrown around way too often. We hope we can do that for you, or we hope to have you come on in such an such capacity. Not that it is a bad thing to have hope, but when it gets tossed around way too much without any clear determined plan to make it happen, that's when it becomes unreliable. The industry and environment is so fast passed and ever changing that it is more than likely that whatever capacity you come in will be different than where you actually end up working. If would you like a vacation between the months of September and January, find a different industry to work in. Honestly, look elsewhere. This is a transport company and their job is to carry all the freight moving around the Thanksgiving and Christmas period. Therefore taking a vacation during these months isn't allowed. Honesty is a hard thing to come by at this company. Honesty in it's truest form so to speak. They do not treat their employees like humans but rather like matches. there to be used to the max until the leave. It is a difficult industry to find stability in and remain for a decent amount of time while at the same time looking for growth in a career.
