Pros

Benefits 401k matching Big corporation so lots of resources

Cons

Below average salary Engineering at architect and staff level is mediocre at best. Not a whole lot of good decisions made and the culture is very hierarchal. Collaboration is killed by titles and office politics. Release train not sure what they are doing or unclear as to the direction of product. Teams are tribal so documentation is nonexistent.

Pros

The company is great to work and learn for those in early careers, Growth prospects are ok. The Family owning the group cares for Employees. Work Life balance is great.

Cons

Too many hierarchies in Management and consequently translation loss in what the top leaders talk and what happens on the ground. Middle managers are untrained, unprofessional and often work to protect their turf. lacks a creative atmosphere that promotes talent.

Pros

- Zero micromanagement. Manage your own time to complete your tasks. - Full application ownership, from development to architecture, CI to production support. - Peace of mind and rare support requests, thanks to universal CI and process automation. - GREAT shallow management structure. Lots of communication. Upper management is busy but always available, taking an active role in (and responsibility for) any production issue. - Employee-first culture, demonstrated during the pandemic with remote-first work when others are returning to offices. - Hefty health benefits package, and lots of discounts. - Unlimited PTO with zero guilt attached. - Lunch hour and breaks between hours are blacked out from meetings for our sanity. - Enjoy the office your way; it's been a while since I've been in the office, but meals were subsidized and varied, and campus was great, whether you enjoy meditating in a zen garden, walking along a short nature trail, or exercising in the on-site gyms or even taking a subsidized crossfit course.

Cons

A few overseas teams have appeared since the pandemic started. I haven't seen signs of this becoming a trend across the organization, but I wasn't thrilled about the loss of assumed time zone proximity.
