Pros

Overall Cox is a great company! They care about their associates and having a work-life balance is important. I started as a non-exempt employee and was given at least 24 days of PTO and benefits started on day one. As an exempt employee, you have unlimited PTO to use of course you have to run it by your manager. Cox was very proactive when COVID hit. We were told we would work from home until further notice. There was a furlough period for many people, but we got to keep our insurance during that time. For the people who were brought back from furlough we still got bonuses and were given an extra $1,000 to buy equipment for a home office. Every year the company evaluates your job title/ responsibilities and pays you according to the market.

Cons

You can get very siloed on your team and there feels like there are parts of the business you never learn about because of this. During summer 2020 my team restructured and we lost a lot of great people either because their roles were eliminated or they didn't want to go through the interview process to get their jobs back. I was brought back from furlough and was placed in a role management created, but was given ZERO training. Because of the reorg, I was reporting to people who have never been people leaders before. And again, they were provided with ZERO training. There's not a word available to accurately describe but the cloestes one is trainwreck.
