Pros

Cox is a great place to work because they provide an excellent opportunity for growth and promotion, as well as a highly competitive compensation package. Cox employees are valued and treated with a great deal of respect. Management is friendly and those in leadership take care to ensure that each employee has the opportunity to succeed in the workplace and in life. I've worked for various call centers during my career and Cox outshines them all!

Cons

The only real downside to working for Cox is that it can be a very demanding employer.

Pros

Benefits and overall atmosphere. Cox is a place that values its employees and pays well while offering the best benefits package I have ever seen. Free tv (every channel they offer), internet (mid-level speeds), and $20 a month unlimited long distance phone service plus great dental, health, life/accidental death, vision, and every other kind of insurance makes it a great place to work if you want to be well taken care of. The atmosphere overall is one of excellence and you are part of that. There is the idea that as a team everything happens and without one person the goal is not accomplished. That's not something you find everywhere and helps make you as an employee feel valuable and appreciated regularly. It also leads to the ability to get to know many more people and enjoy the jojb much more than other lines of work.

Cons

Long hours in the field and the fun that is working in the weather as a technician. Some days were 8-5 and relatively easy, others were 5am-8pm the next day depending on the crisis at hand and what needed done. The weather part is simply being like the postal service: wind, snow, sleet, hail, rain it doesn't stop you and only means you're cold, wet, and miserable whenever that's the way it is outside.

Pros

Career growth, flexibility of schedule and the open cubicle enviornment promotes cross departmental conversation. If you are truly interested in career advancement, then the door is wide open at Cox. You are allowed the liberty to build your organization from the ground up. Peer to peer information sharing has increased in the past couple of years.

Cons

sometimes there is a failure to communicate internally from department to department which has a negative impact on how we are viewed by our customers. Redirection of the current mindset of the frontline would be beneficial as well. There's a lot of complacency and no sense of urgency for beating out the competitor.
