Pros

It is a fun job to have because Cox believes in rewarding its employees when they pull to the task and get the job done. There are great people who are in leadership and who work side by side with you.The pay and the benefits are really good. Cox also believes in giving back to the community.

Cons

The job can sometimes get really stressful because if a customer can't get the results they are looking for, they blow off all of their frustrations out on you. It feels like you have to cover for previous mistakes that other personnel has made or contractor sites have made to protect the image of the company.

Pros

- excellent pay - excellent benefits

Cons

- like most corporations, advancement is more often a matter of who you know, and not what you know - the supervisors are generally incompetent; you would expect your manager - or any manager - to know more than you; in reality, at Cox, it's almost ways the direct report that knows more, so when you need help, going to a supervisor is generally a no-no - horrible lack of communication between floor employees and management; every time you ask a different manager a question about a policy or change thereof, you almost invariably get a different and conflicting answer. The most grating example is when a manager shrugs his or her shoulders and says, "I-uh-no (I don't know.)" Pathetic.

Pros

Co-workers Used to promote from within Many systems to work in Discounted cable

Cons

They really do target people with 10+ years to eliminate They keep worthless or disrespectful employees over respectful people with integrity and proper skills Hiring many new people that have no understanding of the business, only numbers Focus on training that has nothing to do with improving skills Do not listen to employees, but always pretend to Created an environment of fear and mistrust
