Pros

Pros: Benefits (excluding salary) It is on the MARTA line

Cons

Cons: Politics, Favoritism, Lack of Promotion, Low pay, Long Hours, Lack of recognition, Lip service on work-life balance - not a reality. Stressful environment, discourages individualism - must fit into their culture or you will be severely ostracized. Extremely poor work environment. Beware -

Pros

Goood Benefits, Discounted Cable Services. The Co-workers are great. Pay is good but commission structure has been overhauled several times and has resulted in lower pay.

Cons

Micro-Management at its worst. If you do your best work being left alone look for another company to work for. You are continually monitored on everything you do. This includes constant instant messaging to find out why you are not available to take more calls. When you work for Cox in a sales role, (which all the roles are sales no matter what position you hold from billing to retention, to technical support) you might as well check your mind at the door. You can’t have any kind of initiative or individual thinking, you are told what to say, how to say it, and you must follow this script from the beginning to the end of the call and can’t vary what so ever from the script. The computer system that is used is the worst computer system that has ever been created, though there have been enhancements on the system. It still is a poor system that lived its usefulness 20 years ago. The company can’t or will not enhance this system to get itself in the 21st century. A prior review said that the enhancements that were done was like putting lipstick on pig. The bottom line is it is still a pig
