      There are a lot of pros. Pension, benefits, insurance, holidays off.

      Extremely pleasant people to work with, great intern programming, really wanted you to get full exposure into the business

      Great company, willing to let your ideas grow

      Pros

      They're private so they don't mind you working on high-level projects, even as an intern, knowing that they might miss a "deadline" once you leave and someone needs retraining on it.

      Cons

      I prefer public companies because I majored in finance. Also, you'd have to really like the automotive industry to like what I did. I worked in the Cox Automotive division.
