      Pros

      Living in the upper Midwest, I wasn't familiar with this company at first. Since joining, I've learned what a truly outstanding organization this is. It's apparent that employees are genuinely valued - thus the reason they earned 21 Top Employer awards last year. The benefits are outstanding! I would encourage anyone who isn't familiar with Cox to visit the website and really see who we are and we do.

      Cons

      I haven't unearthed any cons. My leadership is supportive and ensures I have the tools needed to be successful. They/we support family and their benefits are proof of that. Being part of the Sandwich Generation, Cox understands the needs of a caregiver to an aging parent and provides the flexibility that is sometimes needed. There are also many opportunities for growth - it's up to the employee to determine where and how far they want to go.

      Pros

      At a macro level the benefits and employee treatment are fantastic. Pay tends to be a bit above the local norm, and the general swathe of benefits available to employees is impressive. It's also a very diverse and actively inclusive organization.

      Cons

      At the micro level the great treatment breaks down considerably. The whole organization is consistently short-staffed. Chances to move into new roles have been closed down enormously during restructuring and outside of moving into a very top-heavy management structure, there aren't many opportunities, especially for employees in groups that are short-staffed.
