Poorly managed company.

Interesting and challenging work. Many good people to work with.

Cons

Inconsistent management that tries to run an engineering company like a assembly line. Cray expects employees to give 150%, but never seem to recognize this outside of a worthless "attaboy" now and then. Benefits keep decreasing, while compensation remains static and is below industry standard. The salary of the CEO is about 30-40 times that of the "average" employee. Cray is constantly promising product features that do not exist, and this causes engineering "fire drills" as we scurry around trying to add features. This reveals a very poor understanding of customer requirements/desires on the part of product management.

It seemed that the initiative that they brought me into help build had a bad foundation. They were not willing to invest enough resources to be successful. High salesperson turnover caused chaos for the Pre-Sales SEs
