Pros

I have been at Creative for 10+ years. Speaking only for myself, I feel it has been a great place to work. The fact that I have been here for so long is a true testament to how I feel about the company. If I was not happy then I would have left a long time ago. Not all people would agree that Creative is a great place to work, though. BUT There are always two sides to every story and one must always take negative (and positive) reviews with a grain of salt. The good and the bad is you never will truly know what it is going to be like when you find yourself placed with a new company nor does the company truly know what they are getting. For the most part and from what I have witnessed with my tenure here at Creative (and several other companies I have worked for in the past) is if you do your job to your full abilities, not just doing the bare minimum to keep your job, then you really should have minimal/zero issues. There will be advancement opportunities if you work hard. If there are not then one must open a new door and create them whether that be with the same company or a new one. If there is nothing for the person where they are currently employed then one should evaluate why they are still at the same company in a dead end job where they are not appreciated and nothing they do matters. Everyone has a choice where they work. If a person is unhappy and staying at the same company they are neither serving themselves, coworkers or the company as a whole. People have the power to make a change, create their own happiness and realize that no one is no one is holding anyone hostage...

Cons

There are certain managers who do not value their employees or believe that they are easily replaceable. It is a sad fact but one that I think is slowly changing. This plagues many companies not just Creative. And on the flip side there are many employees who just do the bare minimum in their jobs to simply not get fired. "two sides"

Pros

If you are in with the management, this is a great place to work. Good benefits and a fun work environment.

Cons

This is one of most poorly managed companies I've ever seen. With over 20 years in this industry, I've seen few companies that lack the vision this one does. It was great when run by its founder. Once the management was turned over to an actuary, it has been a nightmare. Performance in your job is not rewarded - personal relationships with management is. Dishonesty, finger pointing and fault finding are rampant. For a while it became a joke that if you are a good, hard working, honest person that gets results, they will find a way to get rid of you. It is managed to protect the incompetence of those "in" with the management. Compensation is extremely biased in favor of management. It's really too bad this company lost its leadership and vision. It was once a great place to work.

Pros

The location is good. The building is nice. The landscaping is nice. It's near great shopping. You'll learn about annuities and life insurance and you might meet a few nice people.

Cons

There is no career pathing. They make no effort to advance people, unless they are a white male. Benefits are pretty good. There is little allowance for work/life balance. Unless you are senior management, the pay is not great (with the exception of those who have been there more than 10 years). Senior management receives hefty bonuses, but employees do not. The majority of senior management and ownership is in it for the money only.
