Pros
Almost all of the employees are pleasant people. The work environment is generally low stress. Management seems to genuinely value a good work-life balance for everyone. They have a great benefits package, especially health insurance. Plus, a 401k match. The employees get to leave one hour early on Friday. Sometimes, they get to leave early on the workday prior to a holiday. They also have company events, like attending a Royals game. There are opportunities for a bonus if the sales departments hit their goals.
Cons
The company once had a more family feel. However, after a changing of the guard at the top, with new executives taking over from outside the company, the company has morphed into a more corporate feel. Lower employee morale and higher turnover have resulted. With it being a smaller company, there are fewer opportunities for advancement. Unless you are in the sales departments, your work has virtually no impact on whether you get a bonus.
