Where do I begin? If you’re a contractor, I urge you to steer clear of Credence LLC. They don’t treat people like professionals—they treat us like numbers on a spreadsheet. Disposable. Expendable. Useful only until the funding dries up. When USAID’s Global Health Bureau was hit with a Stop Work Order, Credence laid off nearly 400 of us overnight—no warning, no severance, no respect for the work that made them profitable. Just a cold, mass email. And that’s not the first red flag. Sick leave? Only after GH contractors fought tooth and nail for five non-rollover days. Other contracts? Left out. Pay equity? Raises? Travel reimbursements? Good luck. We were routinely gaslit and stonewalled. HR? A few decent folks trying their best, but the overall culture is clear: Protect the contract, not the people. Credence exists to win bids and extract value—not to invest in the humans who make the work happen. If you’re seeking stability, equity, or even basic decency, look elsewhere. They will cut you loose the moment it becomes convenient.
