Pros

Charismatic founder and CEO (Ken Lin) Empathetic senior leadership (EC) team (until c. 2022) Higher pay than industry standard + generous equity grants (pre Intuit) Fun, collaborative culture (pre-Intuit)

Cons

Zero work-life balance, 24/7 mentality for all roles Culture of busyness - people are constantly working but little actually gets done Extreme favoritism in promotion process Newest crop (after 2023) of leadership is either toxic (CMO) or completely ineffectual (CPeopleO)

Not What It Once Was

Pros

There are some really great people working at CK who are talented and dedicated to their work.

Cons

CK generally prefers to hire from the outside instead of promote within. There is little to no recognition for going above and beyond. Like many large corporations, you're viewed as a resource and not a person. Because they generally prefer to hire from the outside instead of promote from within, career advancement is difficult here. Their commitment to diversity and inclusion seems to be more for show than anything else.
