Pros

I don't have anything positive to say about Crestron

Cons

Supervisors are CLOWNS they have no intelligence of electronics they turn to the employees for help. There is a lot of racism at Crestron. Management at night drinks and do other drugs and leave the premises for hours at a time

Used to be Great but Future Uncertain

Pros

They're a global leader in their market. Did not lay anyone off during the recession. In general, workers have a lot of job stability here. People are friendly and approachable. Offers plenty of on-the-job training. Family owned and operated. All manufacturing is done in NJ so its easy to be proud of what you're doing.

Cons

Upper management is a joke. There is no direction, no global policies, a severe lack of communication between departments. Decisions are made without forming a proper business strategy. At times, Crestron feels like a bunch of groups trying to get ahead of each other rather than operating for the good of the company and each other. Most senior positions are held by people who are related to ownership or whose entire family work there, and everyone else fights over the few spots left. If you're not a software engineer, don't expect to make anything close to market value. Benefits are sub-par and PTO policy is inadequate. They choose to be fined for being open during state of emergencies rather than keep their employees safe. Sure, they tell you "if you don't feel safe, stay home" but then you're marked as absent and don't get paid. Future is uncertain with the retirement of the founder/President who drove most of the company's innovation and as tech giants like Google make a push into the market.

Culture in decline

Pros

Nice facility but hardly used

Cons

Executive and new senior leadership lack of experience and vendetta mentality have taken over. Sales leadership have removed experience and replaced it with less than adequate leaders that have placed buddies in charge vs experienced or business minded individuals. C level detached from on the street customer experience.
