Pros

The lower level engineers are all pretty good and very helpful. There was a definite emphasis on learning for the coops. Pay is great for coops initially.

Cons

Management is notoriously disloyal and doesn't reward the really good employees with promotions. You have to bide your time and kiss butt for advancements all while being constantly told how great and what privilege it is to work there, makes for an odd culture.

Great for some - not for all

Pros

Crown is great if you fit in small-town culture, and you're an execution-oriented person. They do take good care of their people.

Cons

It's not an org that's overly willing to accept points of view from those that are not long-timers, or from the area. The culture that made them grow from a small company has made them what they are, but will be an impediment to making it the next step into a technology-centric world. Not a very transparent culture.
