Pros

Family owned company so no union or union workers to deal with. Standard shifts. 40 hrs per week, overtime is 99% voluntary. Safety is always Number 1! Very clean factory. Vacation is based on years of service, after 1 year you get a week. They offer tuition reimbursement. They provide prescription safety glasses, and boot allowance.

Cons

Pay is relatively low compared to other factories doing similar work. Communication throughout departments is horrible. Christmas bonuses are taxed! Average length of service is quite long, so getting vacation time off may be difficult since a lot of employees have many weeks of vacation and the vacation book fills up quick. And management never seems to follow the rules about limiting time off to one person per line. Crown is all about who you know. Certain people will always be held higher than you no matter what.

Pros

Best in class products Value sale Great benefits Good coworkers Little oversight Uncapped commission Good overall company on a national level.

Cons

Little oversight is due to poor management. When I say poor management I mean total lack of training or investment in employees. Be prepared to fend for yourself and lose commissions regularly due to mismanagement, failure to submit deals or service customers in any kind of timely manner. Sales roles within Crown are largely dependent on management. Zero company culture at the local level in Arizona. Resulting effect - toxic culture. No sales meetings, no acknowledgement of accomplishments, no accountability, no sense of responsibility to customers. Result - increasingly poor reputation amongst customers and frustration amongst staff. This place has been a revolving door over the last year and a half with 150% turnover. Company values are not embodied locally in Arizona, quite the opposite in fact.

Pros

The benefits are decent especially if you are military. raises every 6 months is sweet. Getting to make your own schedule (for the most part) is nice.

Cons

The first 45 minutes of travel and the last 45 minutes of travel are unpaid, so instead of zoning the employees to their place of residence they get sent 2 plus hours away. Poor middle management doesn’t support their employees when they ask for help. In the past year I have seen more than half the employees quit. You get told to work on stuff you aren’t trained or qualified to work on.
