Pros

This company does pay well and is flexible with work - life balance, especially when it comes to allowing employees to work from home.

Cons

Poor job security. Lack of long term commitment to a plan or strategy. Implements new initiatives with insufficient preperation and then is quick to abandon them rather than seeking solutions.

Pros

- Great job security. I worked here for 4 years in bad economic times. I have not been witness to anyone who was competent getting laid off or fired. The company seems to be under solid and stable management and ownership. I always had the feeling that I would be employed with the company until I decided to move on. - Flexible work place. Flex time is offered and employees can choose to work any 8 hours between 7 AM and 7 PM. - They don't micro-manage workers. I felt as if i had adequate authority. - Good work environment. The company has a lot of long term workers, many of whom participate in the employee stock plan, which has been very good to them. I could definitely have seen myself being a lifer with the company, but I ended up getting a job offer for significantly more money elsewhere.

Cons

-compensation was not great. While they are paying a respectable wage, I always felt as if I was a bit underpaid with them. -Outdated equipment. The computers are ridiculously old. The software used in my department is also very out of date. The company sprung for dual monitors for everyone last year. That's a good thing, except they now have $500 worth of monitors hooked up to a computer from 1999.
