Pros

They stock bottled drinks and some snacks

Cons

Your opinion is not valued. Your time and contributions are not valued. Just be a cog in the machine is essentially all new management wants. They don’t care about doing things well and right. They care about spitting out features whether they work properly or not. Imagine being Funimation and thinking you know more about tech than Crunchyroll. Then essentially forcing all Crunchyroll out lol

Pros

Direct coworkers, many from Crunchyroll and some Funimation are helpful, hard working, fun. Typical perks (free Crunchyroll account, hybrid work, commuter benefits, lunches, etc)

Cons

Senior leadership doesn't "get it" It's all about saving money, it seems no one at the top really cares about what was delivered to the end user, only that they landed new subscribers. Unclear, opaque priorities No upward mobility Low pay (you can't pay the bills with "i work for a cool company"

Best coworkers -- terrible leadership

Pros

Absolutely wonderful coworkers. Most people who work here are passionate and kind. Good benefits such as catered lunches, and commuter benefits. Only two days required in office Free CR membership Fun events Employee Resource Groups

Cons

Leadership is not transparent and do not care about employees or the fans. It's been a big change since merging with Funimation. It's all about saving a buck. HR is also terrible, and there are quite a few of racist, homophobic, and agist, folks that are still allowed to stay because they've been at the company for awhile -- even despite multiple complaints and evidence. If you suck up to leadership then of course you can stay. I'm sad the company has taken such a turn over the years as it used to be a fun place to work.
