great if you like anime people are great lots of office perks young energetic environment

open seating can be overwhelming for some needs more direction lots of legacy code / tech that is slowly being improved security issues have recently caused lots of embarrassing outages lots of recent turnover compensation could be better unsure of VRV As a sw developer with many years of experience, I've been through many companies in the Bay Area. Ellation/Crunchyroll has a lot of the tech mgmt issues that I've seen slowly demoralize eng teams.

I've worked at Ellation on the Crunchyroll side for 1.5 years. I love this company and all my co-workers. Some really smart, passionate and interesting folks. The comapny is profitable and growing quickly which translates into good benefits, a nice office, and more job security for employees. It still has a start-up vibe to it, which I like. We can pitch ideas and move pretty fast.

Cons

Still catching up to some of its fast growth - new employees, ironing out work processes, etc.
