Pros

Fun culture - young employees, most employees are consumers of anime, friendly environment, frequent social events. The thought of working at another company now seems so boring to me Perks - food and drinks, on-site gym, weekly massages. Some might say we are a little bit spoiled here, but that's okay Exciting industry - TV is changing and Ellation will be a player in the movement Growing company - Lots of new talent is joining our team

Cons

Many changes - We have to adapt our as grow Fast-paced - You hit the ground running when you work here Very young employees and managers

Crunchyroll Response

Ellation has experienced many changes, but yet we are able to really highlight the great initiatives we are working to implement. We also strive to keep open communications so that our employees know that we are making concerted efforts to improve. Our environment is challenging for bright minds and talented people alike and it is really nice to be around a group of talented people that really do help push the boundaries. We are setting off on a mission to make a huge impact in the way content is consumed. When a company sets out on such a mission, it is important to think big, and I think we are doing this. The culture is fun, and the employees are really passionate. It shows in the work we produce. I like that this reviewer is being honest about the pros and cons, and the feedback is appreciated! In addition, the advise is also taken to heart. Transparency is something we continue to strive to achieve, so thank you again for being part of the changes you seek to see.

Pros

Great perks: catered lunches and dinners four days a week, free snacks and beverages (Rockstar, Monster, and Guayaki woo hoo!), public transportation stipend, game room, gym within the office, massages provided on site once a week. Strong sense of community. Work is challenging but rewarding. Don't feel micromanaged. Plenty of opportunities for growth if you're willing to seek them out. Culture emphasizes team work.

Cons

Office location is congested (right in the heart of Union Square). Company is growing rapidly and changes happen often so flexibility is a necessity.

Pros

Ellation has an ambitious vision and strategy. It's exciting to be a part of an organization taking on challenges as nascent and disruptive as Ellation. Given the scale of the company there are lots of opportunities for growth and supporting progress outside of your core scope of responsibilities. Working in media/tech is exciting and it's always inspiring to meet people who love our products like Crunchyroll.

Cons

The ambitious goals come with some challenges like technical complexity as well as cultural transformation.
