Pros

Very professional, competent, and friendly people. Everyone from electricians to technical and administrative people are all top-notch. It is nice to work with people who are good at their jobs, and dedicated enough to get the job done in a timely manner. Compared to other companies on the stuffy conservative end of the spectrum - which is very common for construction companies - the atmosphere is pretty relaxed . Good benefits. Some good opportunities for training. A popular one is the "lunch and learn" program (lunchtime training sessions with free lunch.) Good advancement opportunities for project managers and electricians.

Cons

Essentially no opportunities for advancement for technical professionals. Extremely inflexible working hours. Very little positive feedback from management. More politics than such a mature, well established company should have. This is a is a good place for engineers to start their careers, but not to continue them.

Pros

They don't charge employees for coffee or water but don't mention wanting different creamers, the CEO will make it his personal mission to explain why this is not an option.

Cons

CEI will work employes into the ground. They used to value dedication and hard work but unfortunately this has changed. This is a career dead-end. Save yourself the time and hassle. Steer Clear. There are much better places to work with more pay. The senior management team is horrible. Not one leader in the group. All of them are in silos and have lost the pulse of the company.

Pros

Pay was good and the company in general treats their employees great with tiny little perks here and there.

Cons

The employees who have been there for 5 plus years. These employees usually supervisors or insecure newbies don't like new hires who have more experience and skills who can outperform them due to their outdated knowledge. They will find ways to get rid of any new talent that they see as a threat to their job.
