Beware the it department

Pros

Good solid company. Never saw fraud or deception. Decent benefits and salary. Ever once and a while they supply lunch at company meetings

Cons

Absolutely no education available to staff beyond what another employee can provide (affectionately referred to as “cross training”). Poor adherence to existing policy and procedure, which makes everybody in the departments job more difficult. Retention of employees is a significant issue. Nobody I started with is still working with a year ago is still with the company for various reasons. No documentation from previous employees is available. The perfect storm of IT failure.

Pros

The people in lower level jobs are great to work with. Company events that bring employees together.

Cons

Upper management is terrible. Management is more concerned with buying private jets than valuing employees. High turnover and no appreciation.

Pros

It's a growing company with a lot of positive, and exciting change coming!

Cons

While senior-level leadership is great, middle-management leaves a lot to be desired.
