Pros

Good Pay and Benefits Will pay for all travel expenses Learning Opportunities

Cons

Extreme travel expectations that were not made clear at the time of interview, or hire. The onboarding process was intense, and overwhelming. When hired I fully expected to travel within my region, but a few months in travel suddenly "changed". Employees were expected to travel to any location, with as little as 24 hours notice for a shift. As a learning specialist you have basically no control of your schedule. The operations team sends you wherever, whenever. This was not made clear during onboarding. When I brought up concerns about driving exhausted during inclement whether to my manager I was told "it was within reasonable travel expectations". Very little time to recover before it was time to travel to the next location, let alone prepare if it was a new deck.

Pros

Remote work and decent vacation time. This is a good starter company for those looking to gain corporate experience.

Cons

Severely overworked with little to no help. There are barely any growth opportunities, expect to be pigeon-holed in a department until you burnout. Managers are highly out of touch and allowed to belittle employees with no consequences because it “gets results”. Work life balance is constantly encouraged by senior management but once time off is taken it becomes an issue due to being understaffed (the mass layoff did not help with this) and then once you return you are asked why things aren’t moving as quickly as they should be. Market rates (pay) has become consistently behind the rest of the market and other companies. When the pandemic hit employees were expected to have full office setups from home with no help from the company with this sudden change. CA used to feel like a dream and now it’s like standing on a sinking ship.

Pros

Growing industry because of school defunding.

Cons

Forced to fill out surveys to help company win "great place to work" awards. 80 hours per week was not enough for a manager who herself worked increasingly less. No training. No support. No feedback. Robbed of bonuses. Other employees had it even worse.
