Pros

Some helpful supplemental products for intervention, good legacy products, some highly competent employees.

Cons

The current reigning CEO likes to surround himself with yes men and women. Flattery will get you everywhere. There are too many directors, managers, VPs and newly created departments and the company is growing exponentially but product development does not warrant this. Nobody (especially managers and VPs) wants to be seen as less than perfect so there is little risk-taking or innovation. The digital product is behind competitors because too much attention is spent on free apps instead of revenue-generating products.

Pros

Good benefits package. Good learning opportunities. Colleagues were supportive and collaborative.

Cons

Significant decline in company culture over the past year. Multiple rounds of restructuring and layoffs created instability. Poor management decisions negatively impacted team morale. Many experienced and respected employees left. Current work environment feels unstable and stressful. Leadership lacks clear direction during transitions. While I genuinely enjoyed working here initially, the workplace changed dramatically. The company culture that once attracted me no longer exists. If you can, I'd recommend speaking with current employees to get an accurate picture of the work environment — there may be pressure to present a positive image in Glassdoor reviews.

Pros

As a PT employee, the pay and flexibility were great. Teachers appreciated the PD sessions for the most part because the products were good for students and helped teachers in the classrooms. My colleagues were nice and collaborative as well.

Cons

Over just 2 years, I had 3 different managers, the last one being someone who had not held my position but would be observing and evaluating me, which I found absurd. Additionally, management had an awful communication and leadership style- they would make flash decisions without thinking things through or asking the experts in the field. A few months ago, they heard negative things about an experience at one school and decided to write up a 'performance memo' for me before even investigating or asking me about it. I asked for the investigation with a higher up and afterwards, she apologized and deleted the memo. I was promised better communication, but then just a couple of months later, they did it again, jumping to decisions before giving time to learn all the facts. The job isn't worth that stress so I resigned, but that must have irriated my 'manager' because they locked me out of the CA system before I could submit my final timesheet or expense report. HR had to dig into records to get that information. This was final proof that decisions weren't made with planning or professionalism.
