Pros

Some time ago I injured my self on my own time. Curtis Lumber was behind me every step of my recovery. I could not walk for 3 months and the company made every consideration for me by buying me a special chair so that I could push myself around the store. I could not see my self working any other place than Curtis.

Cons

This took a lot of hard thinking...The company tends to be very reactionary with some policies..i.e not letting customers pick there own lumber from catwalk bins...Being safe is defiantly important but a small accident is just and accident and should not set policy

Benefits are great. The people at my site are great, Very family orientated. good pay.

Cons

Some of the other locations have employees that are very cut throat. the company wastes a lot of money on unnecessary programs like 5 S. or a 10 man hours for a safety investigations for a paper cut.
