Pros

Modern office. Excellent and abundant choices of free coffee. Convenient to the metro. Might be a good place for an entry-level worker to gain experience.

Cons

Company culture is focused upward with multiple layers of sycophants, vying for the patronage of their superiors. Much of top leadership is long-tenured but lacks meaningful experience outside this one organization. The culture rewards self-promotion and does not objectively measure achievement.

Pros

Pay has improved over the past few years. The manager levels do care about employees and do their best. The brand is strong and the company outlook is good

Cons

Company is very unorganized and communication falls through the cracks daily. Management loves to operate based on “that’s how we’ve always done it” and expects lots of effort for tasks that were easy at a smaller company, but time consuming due to the company growth. They don’t understand the day to day anymore, but insist on being involved. Very little investment goes into any groups outside of sales. No 401k match vesting for 2 years. Lots of turnover leading to confusing roles and accountability

Pros

Cvent has a good culture and they provided me with a good sales experience that helped me land my following job. I also was provided good laptop, two monitors, keyboard, and a mouse while working remotely. They paid me 17 an hour as an entry level salesperson with commissions coming out to a few hundred extra every quarter. It did allow me to travel while still not paying rent.

Cons

I had to pay almost 2k when leaving the company after 6 months. When signing my contract I had to agree to a "train loan". It was pretty awful that they make people sign this to work for them. If you leave before 18 months you have to pay 4k. After six months at the company I was responsible for bringing in 185k to the company and they still had me pay them back. After taking my last paycheck and PTO into consideration, I had to pay almost 2k out of pocket. Really don't understand why they would make someone do that especially after they recupertatted their training investment in me.
