Pros

Many good, honest and hardworking people. You are compensated on the higher end of the spectrum based on averages. Management is open to place you in a new role more suitable to you.

Cons

Say goodbye to work/life balance. Working longer than normal hours is expected and commonplace, you may not work less another day if you stay late one day. Moreover the company enjoys micromanaging you everyday. All time must be accounted for down to 15 minute time frames. Any extra time logged on tasks will be called out and will be mentioned in meetings to further enforce time stringency. Causing many people burn out. Those select few that don't are promoted and reap the benefits within their close knit circle.

Pros

Benefits are 50/month for single plans (US) Values ethics and open door policy. No “me to” concerns. Annual salary increases and bonus payouts are basically guaranteed. Work from home up to once a week 15-20 days PTO, 8 holidays + 2 misc, 3 sick days which cannot be scheduled in advance. 401k match, although it's very complicated. 3% match with a $3,500 cap. 5-YEAR vesting schedule. Must be employed at the end of the year to receive the match. Promotion opportunities, but it does not come with pay increase. Clear expectations of my role before joining. Lots of stretch projects and areas for growth. Trust from managers to do my job. Great team and coworkers Cvent has self awareness of their areas of improvement and works hard to improve. Larger issues linger because it can be difficult to convince management/CEO of a real solution.

Cons

Vista and the mandated test with no visibility of your own score. Repayment agreement of $7,000 if you leave before 18 months. Work life balance, 50+ hour work week. It feels normal that everyone around you is constantly overworked and overwhelmed. Manual processes which largely contribute to the work life balance issue. Leadership: disorganized project management, lack of direction. Many initiatives are executed poorly as a result. Efforts feel wasted. Occasionally promotes based on tenure and the negative effects show Performance rating is skewed. “No one” can earn the highest rating and your score can be lowered for no reason.

Pros

When morale is low you will get a paid happy hour. Culture is amazing!

Cons

Support resources are terrible thus affecting renewal rates. More time spent dealing with billing issues and getting customers to the right resource only to have that resource fail. PAY PAY Unrealistic and retroactive compensation plans 18 month contract which stipulates if you break you will pay $7,000. < Modern indentured servitude. ZERO Work/Home balance Free healthcare option was taken away (most likely because company has main goal of huge revenue boost in 2020 and need to trim away any "waste").
