Pros
Senior execs are quite good. "VPs" and most Directors are mediocre at best supporting the Peter Principle. Many earned their spot simply by staying 10 years, and at least half seem to do nothing useful at all. Culture is generally upbeat and fun with a young culture with many undergrads
Cons
Compensation compared to tech industry is just OK. Nowhere near west coast salaries of course. Benefits are abysmal. 4 sick days. 401k match briefly only existed for a year or so as and was a tiny percent, but now is withdrawn with covid. Health insurance has a high copay, and recent changes worsened the plans even more with employee responsibility for all imaging and other tests. Most employees have no equity post-merger. Current covid status: one week required furlough, no 2020 bonuses, no 401k match.

Pros
- Good culture, management does care even though it feels like drinking cool aid from a keg that was never changed - Valued and cherished IF you perform really well - Really fun people to work with - Lots of technologies to learn - Good place to work if you want to clock in, clock out as long as you meet Sprint commitments overall - Good first job
Cons
- Poor compensation and compensation structure. HR insists they're "market competitive" - Experience depends on the team. Some teams deal more with legacy and that can be a real pain. - Promotions are only a title change. You have to fight your worth to be paid better - Product feature work often takes precedence over important tech debt - Micromanaged. Expect to report your time everyday at scrum meetings and redundantly report the same in timesheets every week. - Management is pushing out good talent trying to optimize the company for mediocre talent instead of hiring and developing the best
