Pros

When I started at Cvent, I thought I would be doing the same type of work that I was doing with my prior company. In a very short time, I found myself fulfilling that role and so much more. Cvent provides really great opportunity to take on responsibility and grow your career from the chair you are in. I have already been able to implement many ideas into our current process, and that makes work really rewarding at the end of the day. I have also gained exposure to so many things and really feel as though I am growing as a professional. My favorite part about Cvent is definitely working with fantastic people. Senior management has a busy schedule, but accessibility comes in the form of being extremely friendly and welcoming. I can easily walk into an office and feel very comfortable talking to Directors, VP's, and above.

Cons

Cvent is growing very rapidly, and there is a growing importance on standardized processes and training. Not all of the processes are in place just yet, and although I find that this provides huge opportunities to contribute new ideas, it can sometimes cause some frustration and growing pains.

Pros

The people are what make Cvent a very rewarding place to work at. You work with very intelligent and talented people. I have learned a lot from the people I work with, and I consider this aspect the best part of working here. There is a lot of young people at Cvent, and this creates a high energy - fun culture. Cvent has been growing rapidly, and to keep up with the technical demands of this growth, lots of new technologies are being incorporated into the tech stack. It is not uncommon to see numerous projects that are all firsts of their kind going on simultaneously, and being worked on by recent hires. This is probably the second best part of working here, especially as a recent graduate. You will get exposed to new technologies, which will boost your skills significantly. Management gives you good feedback every 3 months. There are also rewards for hard working peoople besides the career opportunities. Your hard work is often rewarded here. You will also be given a lot of responsibility if management feels that you can handle it. This is good news for those who want to grow in their careers from early on: If you show your willingness to work and you have the skills, you will be given great responsibilities.

Cons

Tight deadlines which leads to periods of long hours and stress. You will definitely feel stressed at such times, and will need to learn to deal with this stress and make good use of your time out of work. Traffic around Tyson's Corner can be pretty bad and depending on where you're coming from, this can cause long commutes.

Pros

I have been working at Cvent for a little under a year now and have already seen the potential and growth opportunities the company has to offer. The engaging team atmosphere allows you to express and implement new ideas, even if you have only been employed for few months. The management team is extremely open and listens to what you, no matter what the area. In my short time here at Cvent, I have been able to take on and own projects with little guidance to show my potential. The potential career advancement here is also huge. I have seen associates with as little as 2 years under their belt advance to management positions, as well as move to different departments. How amazing is it that you can have the opportunity to shift career paths completely, while staying with the same company? As long as you work hard and prove your spot, the opportunities at Cvent are endless! Cvent is also growing faster than most companies in the DC area. The more Cvent grows, the more opportunities arise at all levels. The culture is also a huge factor. Cvent is a young, innovative company full of new and refreshing ideas. We also have company wide happy hours, picnics, and an amazing holiday party at the end of the year. It is amazing to wake up everyday wanting to come to work with a group of bright and talented individuals.

Cons

The hours at Cvent are longer than most companies. Typically, employees work 45 hour work weeks. Even though the hours are long, there is so much work to get done that the days fly by and before you know it you've been here a year!
