Pros

There are a few pros here at this company, despite the many cons. These are as follow: - Free snacks - Scooters in office - Clean workspace - People respectfully saying Hi in the hallway.

Cons

As the title suggest, you should run away from any job post you see from this company. It is not a great place to work for anyone regardless of where you fall in the hierarchy. Just a quick overview: Ask the company if they are profitable in your interview and see what they say. They act under the guise that they are doing so well, when in fact they are living on the scraps of C series funding they have left and burning through cash faster than anything. They have also laid off so many folks and in particular, people of color. Ask them to show you their stats on how many are assigned per team and how many overall are in the company and at what level! Also, their preferred way of laying off someone is over slack DM's and sometimes everyone else knows before you know. Also, fyi it matters not how long you have been at this company putting in sweat or tears. At one point the company had over 100 people and it has now been reduced to under 40 staff. This happened within a year and should be concerning but they do not care. But hey, this review is not for them but for all you job hunting folks! So, you should be concerned about it. They used to do surveys that were anonymous because folks were afraid to speak up. But guess what? They got rid of that and made it a requirement to put your name or initial. The company is still a startup! I REPEAT, IT IS STILL A STARTUP! There is no 401K, but they will promise you to death on it and trust me nothing will ever happen. The promises for better benefits and pay are just a bunch of nonsense. So do not bank on that. There is also no upward mobility and only caters to the friends of some of the executive team and board. The job overworks you to death after work hours and the weekend. You will end up working more than your salary and expected to just ignore it and keep it moving. The leadership is rotten from the CEO downwards. The CEO is clueless on strategy and has not stick to one solid idea. No one really goes to him because they know he will all talk a big game but no action. He is here for his top dollars and frequent travel to the DC area. There is also no exit strategy as a startup and so they are hoping to crash and burn with everyone. After all, they let go 40% of their staff through a Slack post and instantly locked folks out of the systems. It is only a matter of time before the company goes under. Now for the reviews here. If there is a 5-star review, trust and believe that one of the 'leaders' wrote it and guess what? Their people team goes around asking folks to leave a positive review. Now let’s queue the mendacious message their people team will craft and post below to trick you otherwise on the info above! All you have to do is just ask any former or current employee and they will tell you. Now carry on and find a job elsewhere! Good luck!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and share your experience at Cybrary. Feedback is key to improving and the more we receive, the more relevantly we can address our areas of improvement. We’re happy to hear positive feedback regarding our work/life culture. We take the work/life balance of our team members seriously and intentionally strive to ensure work doesn’t get in the way of the important things in their lives. As a remote first, hybrid workplace, flexibility is a key word here at Cybrary and it plays a huge part in how, when and where we do work. We understand that some of the projects we’re working on internally are in the early stages of progression, and we’re thankful for all the innovation, skill and perspective our talented team members are putting in to bring them to final fruition. We’re particularly excited for the recent launch of our Cybrary Free Access experience, a project that took time and cross-functional teamwork to make happen. We’re always moving to ensure we are equipping cybersecurity professionals with the skills they need to succeed against ever-evolving cyber threats. Again, we appreciate your review and do hope you continue to share your thoughts and perspectives, no matter the format or medium.
