Pros

Open, challenging culture. When I was there, you were encouraged to argue your POV. But once the team decision was made - whatever the issue - everyone aligned with the final decision.

Cons

As a start up organization with strained resources, Cybrary didn't pay market rate.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide a review detailing your work experience with Cybrary! The core of our business is our dedication and commitment to our team members. We passionately believe that the opportunity to be greater is achieved by growing together and feedback loops are an essential part of ensuring such progress takes place. We constantly seek ways to ensure that all of our employees have equitable opportunities for growth and innovation. And we invest a great deal of effort into cultivating an environment where employees feel appreciated, included, treated fairly, and respected. Being a start up organization, which presents its own set of challenges, the journey is not always easy. However, we are committed to continuously identifying areas of improvement and strengthening them. We are excited to report on progress we have made. Within 2022, we leveraged Salary.com to help identify gaps in our compensation structure and further efforts to ensure equal pay for all employees. Clear and consistent communication is a priority for our leadership team, people team, and managers. A key initiative behind this theme includes identifying and employing a communication plan that will increase the frequency of how and what we communicate. We will not stop until strong progress is made in all areas of improvement within Cybrary. Thank you again for your feedback and your time with Cybrary. We encourage you to reach out to us if you have any additional feedback to provide that will help us to improve.

Thank you for taking the time to review Cybrary on Glassdoor and provide feedback on your work experience. It is important to us to hear from our employees and former employees about what we are doing well and what we can improve upon. We regret that your work experience with Cybrary has been subpar because it indicates that we fell short of your expectations in some way. We take pride in being an organization that has established a virtuous cycle that promotes feedback at all levels and where individual contributors can feel that their issues are acknowledged and promptly handled. We deeply apologize if you feel resolution was not provided to you in a timely manner. However, we can assure you that the people team, leadership, and managers do not take any complaints or issues lightly and we exhaust every option to come to the best resolution possible. In 2022, unfortunately Cybrary, like many other organizations, faced layoffs; however we can assure you that no race or other discriminatory factors were utilized in determining the affected employees. We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensuring that these values are embedded into Cybrary’s identity. As a start-up, we frequently experience different business cycles, during which both hiring and layoffs can occur. However, we make sure that these events fit the current state of our company's performance. As an organization, we continuously strive to implement new strategies, initiatives and processes that will help us improve the way we do work, our culture, brand and most importantly our employer and employee relationships. Because our team members are our most important assets, we are especially proud of the new initiatives implemented in 2022. These include, but aren’t limited to, our new and improved recognition program, re-opening our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to encourage participation from all employees, and launching a training program that will focus on our employee career development and growth. We also want to acknowledge your experience with our paid time off (PTO) program. We regret to hear you did not feel you could fully leverage your time off and truly disconnect. At Cybrary, we offer flex leave because we believe in empowering our team members to take time off and we strongly encourage team members and leaders to disconnect while they’re away. We recognize that at any company this can be a challenge at times, especially at a startup organization. We invite any team member experiencing challenges with this to communicate this and partner with their manager and the people team to ensure they can truly take time off. This is crucial for every individual’s morale and wellbeing. Thank you again for bringing these concerns to our attention. We encourage you to reach out to the People Team to have a further discussion of your concerns. As always we appreciate and value your feedback.

Toxic environment is putting it lightly.

Pros

The pay was OK. Remote for some teams, but so many employees have a butts in seats mentality, that they needlessly go into the office to further brown nose.

Cons

Where to start? First of all, they recruited me upon empty promises. The end users are great - I feel bad for them. All that matters to employees is the all male, all white boomer C-Suite Team and their extremely outdated "vision" that isn't rooted in reality, modernity or customer needs. The entire company is now built around being a yes man (Man being the key word here). If you advocate for end users or try to improve processes (there are NONE - they don't know how to manage time or use modern technology and make it your problem) you will get in trouble. People act passive-aggressive and toxic across the board. Extremely cliquey. Soooo many needless "leaders" who know and do nothing all day. Again, you're punished if you do actually try to enact change or do your job. The same does NOT go for the random friends the C-Suite hires on as consultants to needlessly duplicate existing work in an effort to appeal to the CEO. The only remaining employees are sycophants. While I do care for the end user, I can't wait for this company to finally fail. Very pervasive Good Ole Boys club throughout. Not good at all for women or POC. I honestly am surprised no one has taken legal action against them at this rate. Just unprofessional and sad.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We’re disappointed to hear your perspective on our culture and leadership team; we deeply value diversity and are committed to breaking down barriers to entry, both at Cybrary and in the field of cybersecurity. We closely partner with leadership, our team members, and our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Employee Resource Group to ensure we are on the right path and, while we have more work to do, we are pleased that 42.9% of our leaders at Cybrary are women. One of the many ways we work to ensure a positive experience for all of our team members is via our team member surveys. These surveys are distributed at least twice per year and are specifically set up to give our team members an anonymous platform where they can share candid feedback. After each survey is complete, we create and execute action plans based on the feedback we receive. This year, for example, we have implemented leadership training and process improvements based on our team members’ input. We value all of our current and former employees' feedback, and we welcome you to reach out to us directly at any time to dive deeper and share any ideas you may have for improvement. Thanks again for your feedback; it helps us make Cybrary a better company for everyone.
