Pros

Leader in the industry, good benefits.

Cons

You need to be a kiss up to gain favor with this company. Middle management is in control, and most of what they do is try to go with the prevailing winds. Unfortunately, as an employee, that's a trailing indicator and you can easily find yourself on the out of favor team. Sales skills and people skills only matter once the obligatory side is chosen

Pros

Loves to promote within, loves to add personal responsibility to the job title, gives lots a leeway.

Cons

Has a huge culture of nepotism with in the family name, pushes for sales when not obtainable, speaks down to employees and says they are consistently replaceable at every weekly sales meeting. Loves to push employees to fight among themselves to be sharks. Always say that one must work days off to be able to be better. Expects all time of life given to company. Wants blind trust without earning it.

Pros

DR Horton has the best incentives for their buyers which helps you sell more homes. They buy their mortgage interest rate down and pay all the closing cost. You can buy a home with a very small down payment.

Cons

It's the economy stupid!!!!!! Not your sales people. Never satisfied, Tough times right now in the industry, the answer at DR Horton is to micro manage the crap out of the sales team. Never worked so hard for so little and now they cut the Sales Reps commission from 1.75% to 1.25% very hefty. It equals a $65,000 a year pay cut!!!!!
