I was hired, and the hiring process was delayed so I started way later than I initially was suppose to. At first, I was told it was because of a role that needed to be approved by senior leaders and then a few days later it was due to a system issue.. I started there and tested positive for COVID, and I was fired for missing work even with a doctors note provided. When I spoke with my manager, she had advised me that it wouldn’t affect me and that it would just have to be unpaid. The training process was also all over the place. I did not feel like I was given or walked through proper policies when I initially started the job. I had a new hire orientation after one month of being there instead of in the beginning like most companies do. After a few days, and listening to a mock call we were thrown to the wolves on the phone. Coming into it without any industry knowledge just felt a little bit overwhelming to just put someone on the phone that quickly. There was no real structure I felt within the training process. Circling back to being fired, I felt like the manager was rude. She didn’t offer any like exit interview or anything. Just overall a bad experience and would not recommend DAT.
Pay is low for the work.
