Management clearly does not care about the well being of it's employees, either in MN or Nixa. It's pretty obvious that they are rather inexperienced with running a business and they are just getting their information on how to do so from outdated books and websites and not understanding why things don't work when they execute old business practices. Our sales team has all quit, but they keep hiring managers for some reason, whom are old friends from old companies they were once at, strange. If we don't have sales, how can we expect to have customers buy a broken, years-behind piece of software that nobody wants?
The HR department seems rather inexperienced, I'm not sure how one becomes qualified to do this job, but I'm fairly certain those credentials have not been met. Paychecks, 401k and HSA accounts have been messed up several times causing us to have our paychecks gouged to make up for the incompetences of others.
Working from home was allowed at 'Manager's Discretion' up until last week, you can no longer work from home for some reason. They claim it's for 'collaboration and teamwork' but nobody works with each other around here anyway, so I don't really see the justification at all. This used to be a benefit for everyone, but now it's simply not an option. This, combined with the very lackluster pay, poor benefits, and absolutely no hope for career advancement mean that there's really no reason to even apply here, let alone stay working here. If you're considering applying here, I urge you to look elsewhere, you can do better, I believe in you.
It's obvious that management is simply getting all of the money they can out of this place before selling the company with zero input from anyone else. We can't even break even and are hemorrhaging money, yet we still get financing somehow, I don't get it. They like to act like they are explaining the finances at monthly company meetings, but they don't, at all.
Let's move on to the physical space that we are now 100% forced to work in. This place is absolutely awful. It's so loud, yet we have no way to control noise at all due to no walls and a 25 foot ceiling. The thing is, they took a survey to see what people wanted, and decided not to listen to the employees. Once again, a cue was taken from 8 year old business ideas in that "the open office is the way of the future", but if you simply do some research for current information, you can find that the only benefit that comes from an open office is that you are easily surveilled, which is becoming more and more apparent. This building is a bastion of disease and noise, both of which are very bad for the human mind, noise pollution is one of the leading causes of stress, yet management gets what management wants.
