Pros

Unlimited PTO. Most of the people are incredibly friendly and will make you feel welcome.

Cons

Let me start by saying, I left this company by my own free will - I was not fired or let go - so this review does not come from a place of retaliation. Also, do not believe the positive reviews that were given in 2016 and 2017. You will notice a pattern that when a negative review is left, a positive review will follow a few days to a couple weeks later. It wouldn’t be surprising if a glowing review is left shortly after this one. These positive follow up reviews are completely fraudulent and unethical. Now, on to my review… There is very little demand for the product. Heard from numerous customers that Delaget is "behind the times". Departments do not communicate with each other which ends up hurting the customer. I don't think the sales team has a full grasp on what exactly they are selling. I don't blame the sales team for this. I blame this on the leadership and the lack of desire for the products. The CEO as well as others say that this is a start up company, yet Delaget has been around since 2008. Personally, I feel that they keep telling employees and customers that this is a start up company because nobody knows what they are doing. I've worked for a start up company before and I've never seen a company with such incompetent leadership. The senior leaders are under qualified and inadequately prepared to lead a successful company. If you come to Delaget, don’t plan on developing your career. You will not learn anything or be challenged in the work you do. You will probably find yourself wishing you’d never left your last job, and there is a very high likelihood that your career will actually regress if you come here. I spoke with coworkers on several teams who shared this sentiment. Over half of the sales team has quit or been fired in the past 9 months, which is an indication of where this company is headed. If you love unnecessary meetings, this is the place for you. There are routinely meetings where nothing is accomplished and/or they could be summed up in a brief email. In addition, meetings frequently include multiple individuals that do not need to be there. Delaget has an open office environment which some people may enjoy. However, I find this incredibly distracting. The floor is mostly concrete so everything echoes. You will sit 3 feet away from your neighbor so you have absolutely no privacy. In addition, because work from home is frowned upon in some departments, people come in sick. You would think, with unlimited PTO, employees would stay home when they are sick, but that courtesy doesn’t exist on some teams. If any of your neighbors are sick, plan on getting sick too. Management and HR will even encourage you to stay if you are sick by bringing you tea from the kitchen - I've seen this happen on numerous occasions. Management and HR should not be condoning this type of behavior, especially given the open office environment. This job can be done just as well at home as in the office. Besides the unlimited PTO, benefits are not good. Health insurance is expensive and the 401k match is subpar. An employee will not be fully vested in the paltry company match until 5 years of being with the company. I don't even think this company will be around in 5 years. If you happen to be family planning or risk averse, disability coverage doesn't take effect until you've been with the company for a full year.

Pros

Love the company and it's values! I have worked here for years and the leadership is consistently mentoring and growing individuals. They come out on the floor and join us and ensure we are capable of doing our jobs and have all of the tools needed to do so. They have been focused on the work/life balance over the last year and offer a great benefit, holiday and PTO package. I have never worked at a place that believes so much in their people - it is a place that expects performance and if you aren't a go getter and wanting a career to grow at - then it's not for you. But like myself, I love the environment!

Cons

I love my job and think the only con would be when people join the team and are negative - we work hard to keep the environment non gossip and upbeat - negative attitudes don't last.
