Pros

You get to work in sports, I guess Some genuinely friendly regular customers

Cons

Where to start? Management, at least at the store level, is questionable at best. Management takes advantage of hard work, uses weak reward system. I worked my butt off for 8 months, didn't miss a day, no tardies and was never given a hint of receiving a raise outside of "we'll consider getting you into a lead position" As much as management ignores hard work, they also ignore laziness. No ramifications for poor performance means that others who actually work have to do most everything in the store. Pay is crap for what you are putting up with on a daily basis. From the DM down, at least in my experience, was a lack of care for associates, a lack of willingness to actually work themselves, and just general indifference when it comes to their jobs. They made me feel unappreciated for working hard while rewarding fellow associates that showed up and sat on their phone half of a shift by ignoring their laziness.

Pros

Your coworkers and most of the customers are very friendly and knowledgeable and make for an enjoyable work environment

Cons

Mandatory work in departments that are not the ones you were hired to work. 10 hours days for part time employees. Denied availability changes. Insane start times worked 2 weeks starting at 4 a.m. I was never asked if I wanted to work this shift. They also wanted me to work overnights 10 to 7. A general unavailability of the general manager to work with you.

Pros

The people, flexibility, enjoying what you do, the laid back atmosphere, and being able to watch college football on saturdays while at work.

Cons

The cons are like any big corporate organization. Tough to move up in the ranks unless you stay for a while with low pay.
