Pros

I was remote not in call center. Pay was decent. Two of the site managers were awesome.

Cons

This company is a scam. They want you to tie customers up in two year contracts they need to get with the time s Direct TV has streaming services Dish still has Old school satellite TV that has technical issues and it's hard to retain customers especially when you have no good rebuttals for what the customer are doing cheaper because honestly I agree with the customers. The techs will also install equipment and ask the customer for their four digit pin to put them on a 2 year contract with a early termination fee of 480.00 20.00 a month remaining, and not tell them and when they call to cancel they are mad because no one told them and they have to pay to cancel . The managers ride your butt every day they are constantly listening to your calls because they don't want you to cancel account and sometimes you can't do nothing but cancel an account. I had more manager say they did not care if the customer was on social security disability or not they afforded cable last week they can afford it this week do not cancel the account. They tell you to come to them after you cancel two accounts before you cancel anymore you can't just log in and do your job you're going to be bothered throughout the day. They also want you to sell starlink and I sold starlink and have not gotten paid but for one, there was also overtime done for starlink no one has still gotten paid for. This company scams their employees money they scam customers money they are fraudulent they have no integrity they have no morals and I thought with myself everyday logging into this job doing something that I didn't feel was right to these customers I honestly cared more about their customers than the company did and that's sad my manager said you know I'm going to beg you to stay but honestly nothing would work I just didn't want to be there no more it's a horrible company to work for if you have no morals and you are a good liar you will be a great fit for this job. Also heads up they give you tiers which are basically points so they punish you for making mistakes on calls they will have you so scared that you're going to say something wrong, not say enough, or do something wrong unintentionally and get a teir they do not coach you they literally copy and paste what you said in the call and say you did this you got points once you get 13 you're out the door. My first two tiers were for system issues that were not my fault.

It is encouraging to read that you valued your remote work arrangement, found the compensation to be decent, and had a positive experience with two of your site managers. However, the details you shared regarding high-pressure retention expectations, technical training gaps, and a fear-based disciplinary tier system are deeply concerning. We aim to build a workplace rooted in transparency and clear guidance, and it is clear your experience did not reflect those values. Furthermore, your serious allegations regarding unpaid overtime, missing commission for product sales, and retaliation following an HR report are matters we take with the absolute highest level of urgency and severity. Unethical behavior and non-compliance with labor standards completely go against our corporate policies and operational principles. Because your feedback involves specific ethical, legal, and operational compliance concerns, we strongly urge you to reach out directly to peopleoperations@dish.com so these issues can be thoroughly investigated and addressed.
