Great People Bad Incentives

Pros

Working there itself is just fine, they tend to have great people who typically are sharp upstanding professionals.

Cons

Two sub-inflation raises. Worked 2500+ billable and the bonus for the 500 over the 2000 quota was < (salary/2000)*500 so not really a bonus. As they were touting their fee increases they were making the deal skinnier for me, including cutting the phone subsidy. So after working 2500 billable and going on a special assignment, my reward? I got paid LESS in inflation adjusted terms.

Pros

* People are generally kind and respectful * Offices are great, the canteen and on-site gym are bonuses

Cons

* Operations and resource management let the firm down, there were a number of business services teams with similar remits.
