Pros

Company Culture Educational Opportunities Coworker Passion Forward Thinking Sustainability Opportunity for Growth Flexible Hours

Cons

Have seen it get too busy that other important aspects of the company are set aside while everyone is head first into their computers and sometimes letting good design turn to average. Also letting other company opportunities be forgotten at the same time.

Pros

Friendly atmosphere. Free coffee bar - Kurig or fresh ground. Architects on the building to easily ask things. Business casual attire.

Cons

Limited on the projects that we work on - mostly K-12 schools (80%) followed by hotels. Architects seem to over design and then redesign projects to often.

Pros

Unlike a lot of other architectural & design firms, DLR Group doesn't have senior people with big egos that dictate to junior staff. Truly a collaborative environment. Great opportunity for growing as an architect, interior designer or engineer. Multiple disciplines sitting in the same office is a great way to learn. Financially Solid. Employee owned.

Cons

It is hard to work on project types that are outside of the core sectors. Not a great balance in workloads between staff. Some people work a lot of hours while others are 9-5ers. I think this has a lot to do with the good staff that are "in demand" get put on a lot of projects.
