Pros

Superb benefits - catered breakfast and lunch, all-you-can-select mobile device and monthly plan, annual personal budget for social activities, fitness stipend, fully sponsored education events, bi-weekly OKR treats, and so on....

Cons

Sometimes work can get a little bit intense, given the nature of a trading firm

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We can’t wait until you’re able to come and see the offices and meet more people in person (that should help with the silos!) but it’s great to hear from our employees who were onboarded and have had a 100% remote experience!

Big little company

Pros

Office perks such as company issued phone, laptop and desktop are really nice. In office breakfast, lunch and snacks are awesome. Employees are genuinely really smart and caring. Confidence level in the company to remain in business with little to no layoffs due to outside circumstances (ex: global pandemic) remains high.

Cons

DRW feels like a giant company of small companies. Cross-collaboration is almost zero, which creates a significant segmented company culture. Some teams are wonderful, some are not. DRW is also extremely paranoid about cyber security to almost unimaginable degrees. While a certain level of security is required for this type of business, DRW's answer is always "no" first and "yes" after a really long period of time, causing huge backups waiting for approvals to pass the security team(s).

Thanks for sharing your experience. COVID-19 has definitely made for an interesting few months at DRW. We’ve been impressed by the flexibility and creativity of our teams in adapting to working remotely as we tried to do our part to keep our people, their families and our communities safe. Thanks to everyone’s hard work, we’ve been able to remain an important participant in markets around the world and, as you said, feel confident in the work we’re doing. Interestingly, with everyone working remotely, we’ve also made progress in increasing cross-team collaboration where it makes sense. We know there’s more we can be doing there, and appreciate your candid feedback.
