      A 3PL that gives other 3PLs a bad name.

      Pros

      It almost pays the bills. Hourly employees are great for the most part. Supervision is hardest working group in the building and the most underappreciated.

      Cons

      Poor historic leadership and talent management in place. Abusive Senior Management aided and abetted by tacit HR department. Support roles operate with terrible impact to operations. It is as though the support roles believe that operations are there to support them!

      Not good for acquisition targets

      Pros

      Successful, growing company. Growth is generally via acquisition, though, so expect a volatile environment.

      Cons

      Few to no opportunities at Portland office. Entire Finance team was laid off following completion of transition after acquisition of UTi and 90% of IT laid off.

      Pros

      Good company that doesn't sweat the small stuff. Good salary, good benefits, still small enough to care about its employees.

      Cons

      The upper management firmly believes that only Europeans can manage their field offices, with very few exceptions. It's a Danish company and they are out to help the Danes and Europeans, not Americans. They tend to look down their noses at Americans. The manager at my former office is the worst manager I've ever had. Completely selfish and self serving, cares for no one but herself and has NO interest in any of the employees in that office unless something goes wrong, then she can't wait to scream at you in front of everyone.
