Pros

Always an opportunity to work as much overtime as you want; easy job. There's a lot of great people that work there.

Cons

Say their wages are competitive with other local businesses, when in actuality most other local businesses start out at what you max out at. Management has the "that's how it is or there's the door" attitude. Have a high turnover rate. There is no incentive for employees to stay. Morale is low. Instead of employees coming to work because they like their job, they just show up for a paycheck. There's very little communication from management to floor associates. This is the third company change in the last 10 years; kind of makes you uneasy about coming in one day and not having a job.

Pros

The acquisition of UTi by DSV Logistics is generally considered to be a good thing, but at this time of transition, there is not much direction or clarity about new projects. Most of the people I have worked with in UTi are very decent, caring human beings. Work / life balance for many employees is quite good, but depends heavily on your particular job and location. The company has high ethical values. The company has very good relationships with most of the customers.

Cons

The UTi portion of the company has a very high tolerance for chaos Many business processes are poorly documented. Project management is overly informal and unstructured. The IT infrastructure is not very reliable or fault tolerant. The company doesn't invest much in training or career advancement for employees.
