Pros

None I would not recommend anyone to work here.

Cons

If you value autonomy, collaboration, and structure—look elsewhere. Working here has been a challenging experience. With the exception of Halley, management is extremely micromanaging. If you enjoy being chained to your desk and having your day scheduled down to the minute with little to no trust or independence, this may be the place for you. This job does not encourage communication or camaraderie among coworkers. In fact, collaboration is practically discouraged, and there is little sense of team morale or support. Every netting is like a reprimand on something that is not the departments fault. There are no clear processes in place, yet you’re expected to function at full capacity while constantly short-staffed. On top of your regular duties, you’ll be expected to train new management (with no training yourself), complete side projects meant to “enhance the company,” and do so without any additional compensation or acknowledgment—all while your actual job title has nothing to do with company development. The assistant controller, messages employees when she hears any talking or laughing. The culture is not only rigid, but also punitive. If you try to speak up about an issue, process gap, or suggest a better way of doing something, you’re not heard—you’re punished. Instead of receiving the support or training you requested, you’ll often be handed a project or assigned to create an SOP for the very subject you needed help understanding. It makes zero sense. Don’t expect any real training unless you’re okay being trained by another coworker who hasn’t even been there long enough and didn’t receive proper training. This company lacks structure, and operates in a very disorganized and unprofessional way. Instead of investing in third-party professionals to establish proper systems, the responsibility falls on hourly employees to build structure for a company that’s been around for over 14 years. If you’re looking for a job that respects your time, input, and professional boundaries, I would recommend exploring other options. The turnover is ridiculous and I can’t blame the employees for leaving. Always short staffed and they split the work between the staff members without any sort of timeline on when the additional load will be stopped or even compensated. Seems like that are trying to see how much they can milk someone without having to pay anyone else to do it. Work life balance is gone. You’re required to read a book and discuss it at work. Makes no sense when people have a life outside of this with responsibilities that do not include the company. Overall they are so out of touch with how a company should treat employees and it shows.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We recognize that your experience did not meet your expectations, and while we respectfully disagree with many of the points raised, we value the feedback. At DaBella, we are committed to growing from all experiences, past and present, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors. We care deeply about our people and the culture we strive to build. That is why We Lead with intention, We Care by listening and taking accountability, and We Grow by investing in our team members’ personal and professional development. One way we do this is by encouraging the reading of John Maxwell’s leadership books. This is not meant to add pressure, but rather to offer tools that enrich each individual's mindset, help build stronger communication skills, and support both personal growth and career advancement. Our goal is to help employees develop a structured and intentional approach to growth, whether their path continues at DaBella or takes them in a different direction. We also want to clarify that we actively encourage communication, collaboration, and camaraderie among team members. Building morale and creating a supportive environment is a core part of our culture. We believe in sharing knowledge, learning from one another, and offering tips and guidance that help our teams face challenges and succeed in their roles. Collaboration is something we strive to nurture, not discourage. Additionally, we welcome feedback and value ideas that contribute to improving processes and working more effectively as a team. When someone identifies a process gap or suggests a better approach, our intent is always to listen and explore how those insights can be used to improve our operations. Input from team members plays a key role in shaping how we evolve. Regarding structure and support, we acknowledge there is always room to improve. As we expand, we are actively working to enhance our onboarding, training, and operational systems so that every team member feels set up for success. Our focus is on creating a work environment that values consistency, clear communication, and mutual respect. If you feel there are specific incidents that need further attention, you are more than welcome to file a report directly with our Human Resources team by emailing HR@DaBella.us. We take all concerns seriously and are committed to reviewing them with the care and attention they deserve. While we are saddened to hear that your time with DaBella did not reflect these efforts, we appreciate your feedback and are committed to learning from it as we continue to grow and improve.
