Pros

Work from Home, Peers stick together to overcome the toxic environment to support the frontline teammates as they will also be targeted for unknown reasons and we are left to defend them and consistently micromanage the teammates with the never ending changes and grey areas that change on a whim or how the Director and Senior Manager felt at the moment or if it made them look good to Field Leadership.

Cons

I am writing this review to express my deep concern regarding the prevalent issue of bullying within the Davita Admissions Department. Instances of bullying behavior by the Director and Senior Manager have created a toxic work environment that detrimentally impacts employee well-being and hampers productivity. Verbal abuse, intimidation tactics, undermining and sabotage, as well as a lack of support, have been observed, leading to increased stress, and decreased morale. I find myself constantly having to navigate through a web of lies, rumors, and gossip. It's frustrating to deal with the two-faced mentality of the Managers and Director, and I often question whether the information I'm being given is accurate or trustworthy. There is a lot of trash talk about “the West” including the VP and Directors because I quote “are trash”. They claim that ECBC is the best. However, the truth is that it is run by an immature and volatile Director who throws tantrums and believes that getting drunk with teammates during happy hour is acceptable professional behavior. What's even more concerning is that she then drives home under the influence.

Pros

Up to date equipment and supplies appropriate as needed.

Cons

Poor leadership across the board from the ROD to the FA and everyone else in the cesspool of alphabet soup! I was promised an every other weekend schedule when hired. That turned out to be every weekend with the promise of "we're working on getting more staff". After 18 months, with my threat of leaving, the scheduled was changed and Saturdays were eliminated. The hiring FA was good, but chronically micromanaged the unit. She was transferred out to another floundering facility to get them back on track. An iterim FA was brought in while another RN was groomed to take on the FA position. That was a mistake on several levels. She had no experience in all dialysis modalities, therefore could not direct or give any insight or feedback. Her communication skills were lacking and when questioned, she took offense. If as a staff member, you didn't kiss up to her by going out for group dinners or contributing to a group birthday gift for her, you were ostracized. She took issue because I came in, did my work, and didn't get drawn into the facility drama. She found several things to write me up for as she stated "I wasn't following policy & procedure". Yet other staff members can be habitually late, chronically call out, and bring children into the workplace when they didn't have childcare. I was ultimately terminated, thus loosing my accrued PTO of 240 hours. Time that I hadn't used mainly because there was no one to cover my shifts. Do yourself a favor and just keep looking!!!

-Working from home -Company Culture -Decent benefits -Teammates

Cons

-Most of management is decent, but it can be a miserable and frustrating experience if you're placed with the wrong supervisor -Micromanaging -Management cares too much about bottom line results rather then their employees' well being or overlooks more important issues -Often heavy, stressful workloads - pay is considerably low for the amount of work they expect from you
