At my clinic the RN duties and the pt scheduling is such that there is no time to use the many resources offered to learn more and improve your practice unless you do it on your on time.I would do that more except that my hours have often been so long I just couldn't devote more time to work. The Chairside Snappy computer charting is archaic and ,in fact, the whole computer and charting system is so slow and takes way too much time. I've only been a Dialysis nurse a little over a year but I have 22 years RN experience and I know we could be much more efficient. Then we'd all be happier and probably able to cut costs,too.

Well I work for a boss that just don't care. This person is never there. FA cares what nurses have to say more then anyone. The benny are ok. We have a social worker. Can't figure out what she does. We all filled out surveys about Davita and our boss. FA boss came in and never talked to anyone in the unit. so i feel that if my FA boss talked to us he would make some changes. The staff in my unit some would love to move up like my self but our FA will not help us. i am speaking for the most part myself. 4 yrs ago i ask to do leadership program the FA never address it. FA by passed me and helped a man get a FA job.
