      Company first, community second

      Pros

      Some of the patients are nice. Some of the employees are nice.

      Cons

      DaVita claims to be a "Community first and a company second," yet they fail to invest in their staff or patients. Their focus is to be the largest company to provide dialysis to kidney patients. If they would slow the focus on growing their company and aim to focus on the staff, they may do better. "One for all and all for one" is not really what it is. I joined the company because of their values and mission, I do not feel that they are true to them. It's a corporation, they will be a corporation.

      Pros

      There are a lot of awesome people that work at DaVita.

      Cons

      Upper Management and Human Resources are awful. If you are not part of the clique, you are out the door. Core Values are not exemplified by this group. There is zero integrity and accountability for their actions. I witnessed a supervisor belittling and bullying employees on a daily basis.

      Doing off sight fun things. Flex days, can make up doctors appointments.

      Cons

      Pay is horrible, they don't believe in paying you what you are worth. the CEO has his management so brainwashed they believe he deserves all the money and our pay should stay minimal so he can be one of the highest paid CEO's. His brain washing tactics work well on the weak minded. that's why his managers and supervisors treat anyone who has an opinion like they are the gestapo and make your work life miserable. You are over worked and under paid, their expectations are ridiculous. They strive on making your work life stressful and miserable. If you want vacation, forget it, they only let 2 people off at a time. Only a few select gets the days they want off. They only alow a select few work Saturdays or telecommute. Mainly managements favorites.
