      If you like change, this is the place for you.

      Cons

      Receive top awards and still only get a 1% raise. Over a period of working for them 5 years my pay hardly changed at all despite receiving all kinds of awards year after year. Heavy top management with lots of people that are not doing the hands on work sitting behind desks making changes weekly to what you have to do daily. Very difficult to keep up with all the change that takes place with this company.

      RN - Dialysis

      Most of the patients truly appreciate and value what you do for them and the care you provide.

      Cons

      In the acute dialysis setting, the RN is just another cog in the machine. You will be lied to about improving the schedule, but it will never happen because they burn through nurses like tissue during a cold. In the hemodialysis clinic, the RN will be told they are the team leader and expected to keep everything running according to protocol, but management will NOT support you against an out-of-control technician. You will work every day wondering if your license is at risk. In the home dialysis setting, the RN is the means for the physician and DaVita to make more money by getting more folks on home treatment, but your voice will not be heard if the patient is not appropriate for the modality. The physicians will assume they know better, and DaVita will NOT support you against a physician...period.

      Overall good benefits, there is a potential for improvement with change of management.

      Cons

      Management doesn't get involved - they are never in the office. Very arrogant and disrespectful HR. Constant layoffs and overall huge turnaround.
