Pros

Great Co-Workers, There is always food in the office.

Cons

Horrible benefits, no 401K matching, Almost impossible to obtain a new position within your department, No career guidance you almost feel stuck in your current position. When you receive a raise and/or promotion you receive change increase. Since I've worked here I haven't receive no more than a $0.50 increase and that seemed like it was pushing it.

Pros

I loved the continuity of care I had with the patient & getting all my hours in 3 days.

Cons

The salary could be more competitive for my time there. They have no loyalty to their nurses/staff.

Pros

Davita business office does have very good potlucks and for the most part the Teammates are very open and diversified. Davita participates in many outreach programs for the community and for Dialysis related illnesses which is wonderful.

Cons

Compensation is not equivalent to other billing Healthcare companies and they state they reward by performance which you can earn bonuses, attend academies and be eligible for Village awards...however, knowing first hand how this process works, not the top performers get those awards. It's always the Managers "favorite", usually the one at the top of the pay chain and most usually the one that doesn't get along well with other Teammates. Since the indoctrination of SOX, it's unforgivable to make to a mistake and is a legitimate reason (in their eyes) for a write up no matter what your performance. You are expected to be 100% perfect at all times, no matter the situation. There is absolutely no room for human error and if you should make one, it's a performance review. Those with tenure are especially scrutinized while others that are less tenured and have performance issues/corrective actions are placed on third/fourth and sometimes fifth "Final" corrective actions. If your manager does not like you as a person, they will find reasons to manage you out, the feedback between teammates is not consistent and the corrective action given between teammates is most definitely not consistent. Fun is one of the core values at Davita which is great, but it is "mandatory" fun and if you choose not to participate it is held against you and can be a detriment to your career if Leadership is a goal. Of Leadership, most that want to promote would be willing to sell their own mothers to a third world country than admit to a mistake. They are not replacing the higher ups but are combing by attrition which means the Managers, DIrectors and those higher up are over worked and to a point less reliable.
