Pros

Great benefits but decreasing each year. It is wonderful to work for a local farmer owned business.

Cons

Very poor leadership at the highest levels in the organization. Many business decisions seem to be made in the HR department. Untruthful culture. I have seen numerous combative situations. Leaders communicate very poorly. The new leadership, since 2008, is very weak. Very opinionated but clueless.

An interesting industry (food) with lots of opportunities and hard working people

Employees in wrong positions, anti-social culture, and old timers who are resistant to change make improvement especially challenging.

Plant manager has no minimum either managerial or technical knowledge how to run the plant. Higher management are not capable to hire right feet for plant manager positions so they hire faked ones.

Cons

Faked plant managers and bad work/ethics culture in intermediate and higher management culture
