      Farmer-owned cooperative

      Pros

      I am fortunate to work for a farmer-owned cooperative. The people I work with and for are authentic and dedicated to what they do. The work is challenging, interesting and enjoyable. My boss is great, and our team is fun.

      Cons

      Small companies like Darigold don't have the same level of resources, which is different than working for a large company. For example, the level of training is not what I've seen elsewhere. That being said, I would choose Darigold over a large, publicly traded company any day!

      Pros

      It's a Paycheck, but that's it. Free milk, but I wouldn't drink it. Watch out for needles outside of plant from homeless issues.

      Cons

      Disgusting. I would rather scrap gum off the sidewalk for a living than work at this dump. (Portland, OR). Building is falling apart. A fart would bring it down. I'd rate this a zero if I could.

      Keeping it real

      Pros

      Good people who work hard and care in production. Occasional small rewards for benchmarks met, such as safety. Overtime

      Cons

      1950's mentality from upper management with management style (yelling, cursing, threatening, but done out of camera view, and one on one with minimal witnesses). Lots of favorites and games played just because. Seriously demented manager who had great fun mind mangling and firing people.
